Yin Yoga and Sound Healing
Yin Yoga is a quiet, slow and meditative yoga style practiced mostly on the ground. Depending on comfort level, asanas (poses) are held from 30 seconds to 10 minutes. Stillness for an extended period encourages fascia to release, circulation to improve, calming of the mind and body, and much more. Peaceful, meditative sounds created by instruments promote healing from chronic stress, muscle tension, addictive patterns, sleep ailments, anxiety, and PTS. These healing remedies are a tranquil combination to infuse into your day while embracing the season of Spring.
Bring your fitness/yoga mat, props and wear comfortable clothing to nurture relaxation. A small group of students will be in the yoga room at the wellness center.
